Different Ingredients in Soap and What They Are Good For
All natural oils are used for many things, they are great for cooking but also great for your skin! In these dry winter months it is very important to be using the right products with the right ingredients. There are many ingredients that are snuck into skincare products that are not neccesary, like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is added to products to create foaming and bubbling. Basically if it has sodium or sulfate in it, it may not be as great for your skin as you might think it is. Below I am going to list some of the ingredients that are in our soap, and the benefits of them.
- Olive Oil-Olive Oil can be used as an intensive moisturizer, and can help eczema and super dry, cracked skin. Olive Oil is also packed with many anti-aging antioxidants which can help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. As well as all of this, olive oil fights off bacteria, so if you use a soap with olive oil in it, it will help kill off bacteria that may cause acne and redness.
- Coconut Oil– Coconut Oil is also very great for hydrating your skin, it also is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Coconut Oil also retains the moisture in your skin longer than other oils, and it does not become rancid.
- Hemp Oil– Hemp Oil is also an amazing moisturizer, it is also high in omega-3s, and can thin your blood which can reduce varicose veins. Hemp Oil can also help prevent Eczema and Psoriasis. The fatty acids in hemp oil help improve skin oxygenation and helps to replenish omega-6 fatty acids in the body.
- Shea Butter-Shea Butter can help treat many skin conditions, it can help with wounds, blemishes, stretch marks, sunburn, etc. Shea Butter is also great for itchy, dry skin, it will help relieve itching immediately and helps to heal peeling skin after a sunburn.
Our Soap is amazing for your skin and can help in so many ways!
